Description
The Tri Tool PFM614 portable machining system is designed for machining weld preparations and facing of 6” (168.3mm) through 14” (355.6mm) pipe. With the capability of rapidly machining pipe with a wall thickness of 2.48” (63mm), the PFM614 is ideal for industry sectors in which high yield work rate is required, for example off shore pipe laying processes.
The tool is configured with dual hydraulic drive motors which power a set of helical drive gears attached to the main spindle assembly. A hydraulic auto feed with both rapid and slow feed control allows for unparalleled machining head control. One head assembly covers the whole range of the tool, minimising set up time and the need for changing of tooling or parts.
