Note: The Challenge 15U is the upside down version of the Challenge 15. The Challenge 15U machine gives you a clean bevelled weld ready surface with no thermal distortion, saving time and money. This model has been developed to produce the bevel on the underside of the plate edge when, due to heavy wall thickness, the X-type double bevel is required. This eliminates the need to turn the plate over, saving time and unnecessary handling.

Challenge 15U is suitable for big plates as well as plate strips
Once settled on plate edge the machine travels along the plate side automatically, without any intervention of the operator
A feature of the Challenge 15U is the variable head, allow change bevel angle in a few minutes without any additional accessory.

As with the Challenge 15, the Challenge 15U features the variable head. This Allows the bevel angle to be changed in minutes without any additional accessory.

This model offers automatic self feeding of the plate when bevelling small strips, or once positioned on a large plate will travel along the edge to the end with no requirement for intervention by operator. Various angles from 22 to 55 degrees can be machined on different materials including stainless steel. There is no need to change rollers to change the angle of bevel. Our cutter head can be adjusted from angle to angle in minutes.

The Challenge 15U is fitted with a two speed motor, enabling the operator to reduce the speed according to the material, thus dramatically increasing the life of the milling tool when bevelling stainless steel and more exotic materials.
